Factors affecting burnout in Iranian health care workers during COVID-19: a systematic review

INTRODUCTION: Working through the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed Health Care Workers to physical and psychological risks that can result in a broad range of mental health problems, including burnout. The aim present study was investigate factors affecting burnout Iranian during pandemic. Identifying principal will assist efforts prepare for, and, prevent harm, staff participating future healthcare emergencies. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A systematic review scientific literature using PRISMA guideline completed, included published from January 2020 until December 2021. articles related were obtained Google Scholar, SID, Magiran Scopus, PubMed, Web Science databases keywords. Thematic analysis used analyze data. RESULTS: 203 identified an initial search finally, 14 studies entered into analysis. Based on review, divided 2 main themes 4 subthemes. human factors, organizational sub-themes individual characteristics, psychosocial occupational conditions, training. CONCLUSIONS: Individual characteristics have important effects among this cause negative flow-on quality life these workers, medical services. prevalence is relatively higher practitioners nurses, it enhance coping resources education activities support resilience clinicians challenging stressful context
